Donation from Hindu Temple

The Rotorua Multicultural Council is always pleased to work with other organisations on projects that make Rotorua a better place to live for migrants and international students. Through Hari Chhagan, one of the members of our Executive Committee, we have formed a relationship with the Hindu Temple in Fenton Street. Today we picked up 21 care packages to distribute to migrants and international students who have asked for our food parcels. These donations were made by the people of the Hindu Temple as part of the international project of BAPS Charities: “As the Coronavirus global pandemic affects every aspect of human life, BAPS Charities has joined the global call to action by providing services and support for diverse communities across the world in a spirit of selfless service. Partnering with local government agencies and other community groups, BAPS Charities has been able to meet a variety of needs in these communities from North America to Europe and from Africa to Australasia.”
